About Rochelle
This dynamic multi-genre singer, songwriter, and independent recording artist began her musical journey at the tender age of 18 months old, when her mother discovered that her daughter could sing. This awareness took place one day as her mother was cleaning the family home; and she heard Rochelle, mimicking the radio playing Aretha Franklin's song RESPECT in perfect pitch. She's been singing ever since.

Rochelle began sharing her God-given vocal gift while singing in church and in pageantry competitions. She also learned to play the viola, flute, and percussion instruments. In the 90's she pursued her passion for music as a vocal soloist; performing concerts for dignitaries, celebrities, and during upscale events. Additionally, she is also a praise and worship minister, motivational speaker, spokeswoman, and philanthropist.

She is known for her intensity, purity of tone, impeccable diction, phrasing, intonation and her captivating stage presence. Rochelle continues to amaze audiences with her unique big voice and soulful style while singing various genres of music.

Ms. Lightfoot's songs and lyrics are inspired by Gods' wisdom through her life experiences and mission. Her style has been influenced by great musical legends such as: Lena Horne, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Sarah Vaughan, Diahann Carroll, Doris Day, Mahalia Jackson, Nancy Wilson, Nat King Cole, Natalie Cole, Aretha Franklin, Dionne Warwick, Pattie Labelle, Phyllis Hyman, Anita Baker, Rachelle Farrell and Whitney Houston.

In 2010, Rochelle released her début Christmas Album titled "The Gift", and is now hard at work on her original CD Album  and a Jazz Album to be released in the 2013.
